Pickaway County, OH — A significant collision in Pickaway County on July 31, 2024, led to serious injuries and multiple vehicle impacts. The accident occurred around 11:38 AM at the intersection of Township Road 159 (TR 159) and County Road 22 (CR 22).
According to the report, Trey Adams, 20, of Ashville, was driving a 2011 Dodge Ram truck southeast on TR 159 and attempted to turn northeast onto CR 22. As he did so, he failed to yield at a stop sign, leading to a collision with a 2022 Volvo XC40 traveling southwest on CR 22. The impact caused the Volvo to veer off the left side of the road and into a ditch.
The force of the collision also propelled the Volvo into a 2009 Toyota Camry, which was traveling northeast on CR 22. The driver of the Volvo, identified as having sustained serious injuries, was transported to Grant Medical Center for treatment. The driver of the Camry suffered minor injuries, while Adams, the driver of the Dodge Ram, was unharmed.
Emergency responders arrived promptly on the scene, and the cause of the crash has been attributed to Adams’s failure to yield at the intersection. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
