Update – Seven People Charged in Circleville Drug Bust

Circleville – On June 30, 2023, the Circleville Police Department executed a search warrant at 819 South Scioto Street.A warrant was requested on the residence after officers went to the location to arrest a man with an active arrest warrant. While officers were making the arrest, they witnessed narcotics in the open and in plain sight.During the search warrant officers and investigators located and seized multiple grams of illicit drugs and narcotics paraphernalia from inside the residence. Three Circleville Police Officers were exposed to and had medical side effects from Fentanyl that was airborne inside the residence. The officers were treated at the scene by the Circleville Fire Department.The following individuals were arrested and or charged:

Marty Cooper – Felony 5 Possession of Fentanyl and Misdemeanor Drug Abuse Instruments.

John C. Edler – Felony 5 Possession of Methamphetamine and Misdemeanor Drug Abuse Instruments.

Corey O. Green – Felony 5 Possession of Fentanyl, Misdemeanor Drug Abuse Instruments and Violation of Probation

Amy M. Hill – Felony 5 Possession of Methamphetamine and Misdemeanor Drug Abuse Instruments.

Matthias G. Mossbarger – Felony 5 Possession of Fentanyl and Misdemeanor Drug Abuse Instruments.

Charles E. Pitt Sr. – Felony 5 Possession of Fentanyl and Misdemeanor Drug Abuse Instruments.Dante M. Smith – Felony 5 Possession of Fentanyl and Misdemeanor Drug Abuse Instruments.

John F. Hill – Felony 5 Possession of Fentanyl and Misdemeanor Drug Abuse Instruments.

This investigation remains open, more charges are expected to be filled
