Circleville, OH – Uptown Circleville is preparing for a full season of community events designed to celebrate local culture, support small businesses, and bring people together in the heart of downtown. With support from the Pickaway County Visitors Bureau, the City of Circleville, and local sponsors, this year’s schedule includes long-standing favorites and new highlights.

First Fridays Return May 2
The popular First Friday series begins Friday, May 2, and continues monthly through October. Each event features the Roundtown Cruisers Cruise-In, Roundtown Radio, shopping, and a variety of activities throughout the uptown district. These events are made possible thanks to the support of DeLong Insurance, Homeland Credit Union, and Perfection One Collision Centers.

Mrs. Roper Crawl – May 3
On Saturday, May 3, Uptown Circleville will host the Mrs. Roper Crawl, a lighthearted event inspired by the iconic television character. Attendees are encouraged to dress the part and enjoy an afternoon of themed fun while supporting local businesses. More information and presale tickets are available on Eventbrite.

Christmas in July – July 17–19
Uptown shops will embrace the holiday spirit early with Christmas in July Sidewalk Sales, taking place July 17–19. Visitors can expect seasonal décor, special promotions, and a festive atmosphere throughout the district.

Uptown 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament – July 19
The Uptown 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament returns on Saturday, July 19, with competition taking place on Court Street from Main to High Streets. Open to youth ages 10 and up and adult teams, the tournament fosters community engagement in a high-energy, family-friendly setting. Details and registration are available at uptowncircleville.org.

Enjoy the Uptown DORA
Visitors are invited to enjoy Circleville’s Designated Outdoor Refreshment Area (DORA), in effect Thursday through Saturday from 12:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. DORA allows guests 21 and over to carry beverages purchased from participating businesses while exploring the uptown area.

Call for Volunteers
Uptown Circleville is seeking volunteers to support events and serve on planning committees. Whether helping with logistics, promotions, or on-site coordination, volunteers play a vital role in the success of these community efforts.

“Our goal is to create welcoming, engaging experiences that reflect the heart of Circleville,” said Jeff Rawlins, President of Uptown Circleville. “We’re proud of what’s planned for the coming months and encourage everyone to join us—whether as a visitor, a participant, or a volunteer.”
