Chillicothe, OH – The Ross County Health District is expressing its deepest gratitude to VFW Post 108 for its generous $5,000 donation to support the Help Me Grow (HMG) Home Visiting program with Christmas gifts for local children.
This donation has enabled the purchase of presents for about 110 children, ranging from infants to age five, enrolled in the Help Me Grow Home Visiting program. Many of these children may only receive these gifts this holiday season, making this contribution even more impactful. The funds for the gifts came from proceeds generated through the VFW slot machines.
The Help Me Grow (HMG) Home Visiting program is a voluntary, evidence-based initiative that supports pregnant women and new parents by promoting the healthy development of babies and young children. Trained HMG home visitors provide families with parenting education, child development resources, and skills to foster healthy child growth, giving families the tools to ensure a strong foundation for their children’s success.
