Vinton County OH- On Monday, February 24, 2020, the Vinton County Sheriff’s Office received a call of an individual in a red shirt walking down Bolar Rd talking to himself. Deputy Michelle Thomas responded and met with the caller, who advised that the individual was acting strange and talking to himself and a pole.
The individual said he had been in a wreck and was wanted pulled out. Dep Thomas found a white ford explorer in a ditch on Bolar Rd. A male individual wearing a red shirt was sitting in the driver’s seat and a female sitting in the passenger side. The male seemed very agitated, talking to himself, sweating, and displaying signs of possibly being under the influence of methamphetamine.
Daniel A. Nichols age 40 of McArthur was taken into custody and placed in the South Eastern Ohio Regional Jail and charged with Having physical control of a vehicle while under the influence and Possessing drug paraphernalia. A bond hearing is scheduled for today.
