A disturbing incident occurred on August 3, 2024, around 9 pm near Cleveland Avenue in Chillicothe, leaving two victims injured and shaken.
According to the police report, two individuals were riding their bikes east on Douglas Avenue when they were ambushed by two males and a female. The suspects violently stole one victim’s purse, ripping them off their bicycle and throwing them to the ground.
When the second victim attempted to intervene, one of the males brutally attacked them with a glass bottle, causing a laceration to their head and chin, as well as bruising around their left eye. The suspect then stole the second victim’s backpack and fled the scene, forcing the victims to retreat to avoid further harm.
An officer responded to the scene and took a report, with the investigation still pending. The Chillicothe Police Department is urging anyone with information to come forward to help bring the perpetrators to justice.
Authorities are working diligently to ensure the victims receive justice.
