US – Skys may become busy soon with more drones being flown to destinations in areas across the country as Walmart pushes drone delivery further.
In a press release, Walmart says, “We continue to expand our delivery operations to help customers get the items they need when they need them, and it’s been an exciting journey.”
One of those solutions is delivery via drone technology, “Today we’re announcing we’ll be expanding our DroneUp delivery network to 34 sites by the end the year, providing the potential to reach 4 million.”
The six states eligible are Arizona, Arkansas, Florida, Texas, Utah and Virginia. Hours available will be 8 am to 8 pm.
“Customers will be able to order from tens of thousands of eligible items, such as Tylenol, diapers and hot dog buns, for delivery by air in as little as 30 minutes. For a delivery fee of $3.99, customers can order items totaling up to 10 pounds, so simply put, if it fits safely it flies,” said Walmart.
