CIRCLEVILLE, OH (April 23, 2025) – Big changes are coming to the Walmart in Circleville. As part of a major investment into Ohio communities, the retailer announced that its store at 1470 S Court Street will undergo a full remodel in 2025—one of 23 stores across the state set to receive upgrades this year.
The remodels are part of Walmart’s broader effort to modernize more than 650 stores nationwide. In Ohio, the company has already invested $815 million over the last five years, and this latest round of upgrades is all about improving the customer experience and reinforcing Walmart’s role as a community anchor.
“Our stores often serve as the heartbeat of the communities we operate in,” said Glenda Fleming Willis, Walmart’s Senior Vice President for the North Business Unit. “In places like Circleville, these remodels are about more than fresh paint and new fixtures—they’re about investing in our customers, our associates, and our shared future.”
What Circleville Shoppers Can Expect:
- Modernized Layout: Updated signage, expanded merchandise displays, and better product organization
- Improved Pharmacy: Wider aisles, private consultation rooms, and more personalized care
- Enhanced Convenience: Expanded online order pickup and delivery options to keep up with growing demand
Investing in Local Jobs and Careers

- 3,781 part-time workers advanced into full-time positions
Walmart continues to offer free college degrees and certificates, paid time off, medical plans, therapy services, and a 401(k) with company match.
Giving Back to Circleville and Beyond
Walmart’s impact goes beyond store walls. In the last fiscal year, the company and its foundation:
- Donated $56.9 million to community organizations in Ohio
- Provided 28 million pounds of food to local food banks
- Spent $8.8 billion with Ohio-based suppliers, supporting over 134,000 jobs
As the Circleville store gets a fresh new look, Walmart remains committed to being more than a retailer—it’s a neighbor, employer, and community partner dedicated to building a brighter future for Ohio.
