Pickaway County – A Williamsport man has been found guilty after admitting to raping a Middle school girl.
The attack occurred in Pickaway County where the victim told investigators that Jonathan Lane of Williamsport locked her in a room and then taped her hands and mouth before raping her at a family residence. After the victim reported the attack investigators spoke with Lane who admitted the sexual contact and said that he, “is attracted to young girls.”
Lane was charged with Rape, Unlawful sexual contact with a minor, Importuning, and Gross Sexual Imposition. In Pickaway County court this week Lane was found guilty of Rape a felony, and Gross Sexual Imposition.
Pickaway County Judge Chafin has ordered a PSI pre-sentencing investigation, currently, Lane is being held at Pickaway County jail. Lane could be sentenced to A prison term between 10 and 25 years. A fine of $10,000 to $20,000. Required registration as a sex offender every 90 days; community notification of sex offender status.
