ROSS COUNTY, Ohio — A woman was charged with reckless operation after performing donuts in a parking lot on North Bridge Street in Ross County on January 8, 2025.

At approximately 9:01 PM, a Ross County sheriff’s deputy, who was stationed behind Longhorn Steakhouse, observed a white Dodge 1500 accelerating rapidly and spinning in circles in the parking lot. The deputy activated their overhead lights and initiated a traffic stop.

The driver, explained to the officer that she had turned off the vehicle’s traction control and decided to perform the stunt, commonly known as doing donuts.

At the time, the parking lot was busy with patrons entering and exiting nearby businesses, including those in the Chillicothe Mall area.

Board was cited for reckless operation on private property, and the situation was documented by law enforcement. The incident raises concerns about safety, especially in public areas with active foot traffic.
