Deputies along with detectives responded to Walnut Street Lucasville Ohio. Upon officers arrival they obtained information that the house had been broken into several hours prior while the home owner was away, several items were stolen to include a gun and jewelry. Murphy stated that the female who lives at this residence had her daughter staying with her because she had been broken into hours earlier and she was afraid that they might return.
During the investigation detectives were able to obtain information that the two females were in the living room of the house when they heard someone trying to get into the back door, the suspects could not get in through the door so they moved to a side door and started prying on the door until it came open. The two males entered through the utility room and made it into the kitchen area when one of the females fired several shots striking one of the suspects. Both suspects fled the area on foot last seen running through the victim’s yard.
