Chillicothe – A local woman was taken into jail yesterday after a local officer spotted a woman with known warrants.
According to reports a Chillicothe officer spotted Heather Gossett at Valero at 61 N Bridge St. the officer who knows the woman is possibly on warrant list, checked his hunch and verified that she had active warrants and placed her under arrest.
After the arrest police found a small baggie of marijuana, a “bubble” pipe possibly used for drug use, two needles, and a plastic baggie of crystal rock substance suspected as being methamphetamine.
Once at the RCJ she was served Bench Warrant for Failure to Serve 6 days in jail and FTA warrant with an original charge of Possession of Drug Abuse Instruments. Gossett was also incarcerated for a new charge of Possession of Drug Abuse Instruments and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Gossett will be held in the RCJ in Lieu of Bond until her appearance in court on January 23, 2020 at 09:00am in the Chillicothe Municipal Court.
The seized crystal substance will be sent to BCI for chemical analysis. Further charges of Possession of Drugs will be filed with the Ross County
