Circleville, Ohio (April 19, 2018) – The Pickaway County Family YMCA will host its annual Healthy Kids Day this Saturday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The free event is open to the community and features YMCA program demonstrations, family games, community vendors and giveaways.
“Healthy Kids Day is celebrated by YMCAs across the nation,” said Executive Director Jeff Phillips. “It’s our annual open house so the community can see and experience all the different activities the Y has to offer.”
Visitors can enter a raffle for a chance to win a variety of giveaways, including two children’s bicycles, said Phillips.
Other activities include:
· FREE lunch between 11 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. for any child age 18 and below;
· Swim assessments and canoe rides;
· Gymnastics assessments and demonstrations;
· Dental wellness checks by Dr. Sean Byers, DDS;
· Family sports and games;
· Community resources and giveaways;
· Healthy snacks;
· Safety Forces (Touch a Truck);
· Scioto Valley Beekeepers;
· STEM activities;
